Carroll Hathaway made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabrizio Ravanelli in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Samyang Ramen's Walter Siggman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Hans-Jürgen Nudelman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carroll Hathaway read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Carroll Hathaway came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Samyang Ramen's Hans-Jürgen Nudelman. But to his dismay, Hans-Jürgen Nudelman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 34th play minutes Walter Siggman shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Carroll Hathaway and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 40th minute Fabrizio Ravanelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Décio Messias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carroll Hathaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans-Jürgen Nudelman, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Walter Siggman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carroll Hathaway having to interfere. In the 56th minute Fabrizio Ravanelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carroll Hathaway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Nordgren in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute Erik Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carroll Hathaway didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walter Siggman went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Samyang Ramen made a substitution. Carroll Hathaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo-Erik Apelkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Samyang Ramen were awarded a corner. Hans-Jürgen Nudelman went to the cornerflag to take it. Samyang Ramen's Hans-Jürgen Nudelman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carroll Hathaway in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo-Erik Apelkvist in the 92nd minute of play. When Samyang Ramen's Bo-Erik Apelkvist in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sipo EC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Samyang Ramen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sipo EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
