The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Jonas Cole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Wållander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Wållander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliot Whitley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Fabrizio Ravanelli could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Jospeh McNally however easily saved by the left post. Walter Siggman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Jospeh McNally skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Samyang Ramen's Fabrizio Ravanelli was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Jonas Cole came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Brooklyn SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Cole couldn't finish the play. Alex Wållander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trenton Long in the 33rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Trenton Long notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Samyang Ramen's Alex Wållander. Alex Wållander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Samyang Ramen getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Christopher Bogren hit a great ball. If Jonas Cole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hans-Jürgen Nudelman, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 40 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jospeh McNally was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Alex Wållander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trenton Long went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Erik Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jospeh McNally having to interfere. Jospeh McNally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Nordgren in the 59th minute of the match. Jospeh McNally made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Nordgren in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrizio Ravanelli in the 67th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trenton Long got free with Alex Wållander in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Brooklyn SC's Dwight Schrute got a free kick in the 71st minute. Brooklyn SC made a substitution. Felix Augustin replaced Gerardo Beard. Samyang Ramen's Ragnar Rudqvist was substituted for Jon Kaxe. Alex Wållander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Cole in the 76th minute. Jonas Cole came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alex Wållander could save by the left post. In the 79th minute, Samyang Ramen's Ragnar Rudqvist seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ragnar Rudqvist the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Samyang Ramen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ragnar Rudqvist had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Samyang Ramen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 80 minutes, Brooklyn SC's Trenton Long got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alex Wållander. Felix Augustin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alex Wållander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Samyang Ramen fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Samyang Ramen's Bo-Erik Apelkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trenton Long in the 97th minute of play forced Samyang Ramen's goalkeeper Alex Wållander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
