Dan Gheară made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Ferreira in the 22nd minute of play. Made in Honduras's Dan Gheară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Gerber in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Made in Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Silvano Mohamed was slow to take the kick. During this time Sipo EC's players had a chance to rest. Elói Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Gheară having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Sipo EC's Albert Hidegkúti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dan Gheară narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlos Alberto Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when Made in Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Sifon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Made in Honduras's Dan Gheară got control of the ball when Elói Ferreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sipo EC's Silvano Mohamed got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Made in Honduras made a substitution. Alan Brito hit a great ball. Nicolás Mora might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carroll Hathaway. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolás Mora ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when Made in Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
