Sipo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.A. Francana the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sipo EC's Noel Velloso got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Carroll Hathaway was a little too slow when Elliott Bergsten got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Charlie Boström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlie Boström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carroll Hathaway having to interfere. Renan Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elói Ferreira went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Sipo EC's Silvano Mohamed got a free kick in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Hidegkúti came free, but Renan Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Koenig in the 23rd minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carroll Hathaway made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elliott Bergsten in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Albert Hidegkúti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute Elói Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Renan Melo when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Elói Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Ferreira came free, but Renan Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Sipo EC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oséias Gerber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oséias Gerber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Renan Melo made a huge save. Carroll Hathaway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliott Bergsten in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of A.A. Francana booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Noel Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renan Melo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elói Ferreira's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Renan Melo made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Noel Velloso sent off a good shot on target. Albert Hidegkúti might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renan Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albert Hidegkúti ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Hussein Faraj hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Albert Hidegkúti. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Ferreira in the 85th minute of play. Renan Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Velloso in the 85th minute of play. Elliott Bergsten took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carroll Hathaway. Carroll Hathaway dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Sipo EC's Elói Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Velloso in the 96th minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Renan Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. A.A. Francana had played much better football throughout.
