Jospeh McNally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Hidegkúti in the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Gerardo Beard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Elliot Whitley made a precise shot to the right of Carroll Hathaway. Sipo EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dwight Schrute in the 28th minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sipo EC's Noel Velloso got a free kick in the 30th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serginho Ramos to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Gerardo Beard tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carroll Hathaway saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sipo EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonas Cole was slow to take the kick. During this time Brooklyn SC's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickey Ewing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oséias Gerber scored 1-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jospeh McNally, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute, Silvano Mohamed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Dwight Schrute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Brooklyn SC's Walter Spivey got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Elói Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Sipo EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elói Ferreira couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Velloso came free, but Jospeh McNally reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Brooklyn SC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
