The Stellenbosch fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Flóki Cabezudo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Erivaldo Catarinense came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo. But to his dismay, Flóki Cabezudo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 25 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Flóki Cabezudo came free, but Erivaldo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Pelayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neil Mcinnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SANTOS FC- FDFDF booed when Stellenbosch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Fernando Quinteros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Mingo in the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Stellenbosch's Halvard Nordtømme got a free kick in the 61st minute. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Fidel Martxelin replaced Severo Mingo. A collision led to Stellenbosch getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Halvard Nordtømme hit a great ball. Pedro Pelayo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neil Mcinnes's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Bernat in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erivaldo Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Sun Sha Xiong was substituted for Lleir Santiso. A throw-in in the 80th minute of the game was made by Arnaldo Peter with Juan Fernando Quinteros as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.
