Spectators: 7537 (Terracing: 5654, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pedrão Pereira made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Fonseca came free, but Pedro Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Dedê Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Landulfos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedê Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Pelayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Pereira in the 9th minute of play. Severo Mingo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Pedrão Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Pereira in the 16th minute of play forced Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Matheus Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Landulfos FC booed when Stellenbosch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halvard Nordtømme didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Pereira came free, but Pedro Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flávio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flóki Cabezudo in the 22nd minute of the match. Pedro Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Pereira in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Vidal came free, but Pedro Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Savini's late challenge caught a Landulfos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luca Savini helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Luca Savini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Landulfos FC's Flávio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flóki Cabezudo in the 27th minute of play. Flóki Cabezudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Flávio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flóki Cabezudo in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Flávio de Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute of the match Stellenbosch got a corner. Landulfos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mao Zhen ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Stellenbosch's Luca Savini to fire away a dangerous shot which Flávio de Azevedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Stellenbosch's attack was well implemented in the 34th minute, but when Laureano Gora was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Flóki Cabezudo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flávio de Azevedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Flóki Cabezudo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 44th minute.

Landulfos FC's Danilo de Godoi was substituted for Dedê Fonseca. Landulfos FC's Naldo da Silveira was substituted for Tiaguinho Alagoano. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flóki Cabezudo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flóki Cabezudo in the 53rd minute of play forced Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Flávio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Stellenbosch from getting a goal against them. Flóki Cabezudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stellenbosch's Fidel Martxelin was substituted for Severo Mingo. Pedrão Pereira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Pelayo having to make a save. A collision led to Landulfos FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Danilo de Godoi hit a great ball. Flávio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Bernat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Bernat in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flávio de Azevedo saved Landulfos FC from getting behind. In the 78th minute Osvaldo Bernat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Stellenbosch's Osvaldo Bernat in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Landulfos FC's goalie prevented a goal. Pedrão Pereira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Pedro Pelayo made a huge save. In the 88thth minute of the game Osvaldo Bernat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Landulfos FC's Flávio de Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Flávio de Azevedo came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Stellenbosch's Osvaldo Bernat. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Bernat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 96 minutes into the match, Pedrão Pereira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Pelayo. Stellenbosch's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrão Pereira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Many of Landulfos FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Landulfos FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Stellenbosch were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
