An unexpectedly hard shot by Sun Sha Xiong in the 9th minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Baldovin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Erivaldo Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Balaban in the 11th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Traian Balaban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ştefan Trif got a throw-in 17 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vintilă Stoicea. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Baldovin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erivaldo Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Elenescu in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonard Aanuţei got free with Erivaldo Catarinense in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute of the match, Leonard Aanuţei got a very nice opportunity to score, but Erivaldo Catarinense was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lleir Santiso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gheorghe Baldovin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Gheorghe Baldovin came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Lleir Santiso. But to his dismay, Lleir Santiso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ştefan Trif kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Erivaldo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Balaban in the 35th minute of the match. Erivaldo Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Strugure in the 39th minute of play. Emil Strugure could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Erivaldo Catarinense made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Neil Mcinnes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gheorghe Baldovin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neil Mcinnes made a kick off. Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Mcinnes in the 52nd minute of play. Namık Kemal Kadrican might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gheorghe Baldovin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Namık Kemal Kadrican ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, FC Buzău's Vintilă Stoicea got a free kick in the 73rd minute. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save FC Buzău from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes into the game, Emil Strugure cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Erivaldo Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute Emil Strugure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Erivaldo Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Aanuţei in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Leonard Aanuţei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Buzău fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Erivaldo Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Elenescu in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes in the game Lucian Dejeu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Leonard Aanuţei. For all the effort they put into the match, the SANTOS FC- FDFDF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Buzău.
