Neil Mcinnes took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Pelayo. Pedro Pelayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Neil Mcinnes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Pelayo. Stellenbosch's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Neil Mcinnes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's attentive Silvério do Valle managed to snatch the ball when Juan Fernando Quinteros made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Seçkin Ünlüol notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo. Pedro Pelayo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Stellenbosch booed when SANTOS FC- FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Stellenbosch getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Juan Fernando Quinteros hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Neil Mcinnes to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seçkin Ünlüol in the 52nd minute of play forced Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Mcinnes in the 52nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Stellenbosch's Erivaldo Catarinense threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Osvaldo Bernat, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Laureano Gora replaced Severo Mingo. Stellenbosch's Gerardo Beltran was substituted for Octavio Lluis. Reynaldo Oto made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Carlos Teles. A throw-in in the 59th minute of the game was made by Juan Fernando Quinteros with Gerardo Beltran as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Pedro Pelayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neil Mcinnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute of the match SANTOS FC- FDFDF got a corner. Stellenbosch's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Seçkin Ünlüol ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 62 played minutes SANTOS FC- FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Silvério do Valle. Pedro Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Mcinnes in the 67th minute of the match. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's attentive Silvério do Valle managed to snatch the ball when Juan Fernando Quinteros made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Neil Mcinnes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Pelayo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Pelayo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Neil Mcinnes. But to his dismay, Neil Mcinnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. SANTOS FC- FDFDF made a substitution. Edvaldo Motta replaced Seçkin Ünlüol. In the 79th minute, Laureano Gora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes Stellenbosch got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Gora. Juan Fernando Quinteros kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Pedro Pelayo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neil Mcinnes went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. SANTOS FC- FDFDF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Stellenbosch for a fine match.
