The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Justin Abril took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10thth minute of the game Kauan Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UE Cornella's Justin Abril was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Justin Abril showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurre Villa in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonsinho Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurre Villa might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonsinho Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aurre Villa ran back to his position shaking his head. Aurre Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Marques having to interfere. UE Cornella's Justin Abril played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan Santos in the 29th minute of play. Aurre Villa took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonsinho Marques. Afonsinho Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Quin Camaño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonsinho Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Aurre Villa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Afonsinho Marques made a huge save. Justin Abril made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Martins in the 41st minute of play. With an all-out effort, UE Cornella's Afonsinho Marques threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aurre Villa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurre Villa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aurre Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wanderson Lopez got free with Justin Abril in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Fala Sério FC booed when UE Cornella was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rauf Uçanok didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevinn De Bruyne in the 85th minute of play forced Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
