But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jefferson de Amaral couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the game, Suibhne Ghee cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Theo Machado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mateo Medardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferson de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Λstral Villains FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emil Berntzen in the 20th minute. Victorino Mogel made a great header on Tama's corner, it was just that Λstral Villains FC's Theo Machado managed to reach the ball for a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Mino to make the kick off. Felipe Mino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Theo Machado made a huge save. Theo Machado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. After having played for 92 minutes, Victorino Mogel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Mogel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorino Mogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Theo Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars Holand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateo Medardo having to make a save. 97 minutes into the match, Tama's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Holand came free, but Mateo Medardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Tama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Λstral Villains FC throughout the match.
