In the 14th minute, Bin Shevchenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Seppe Dobbeleir was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 龙文轩 in the 21st minute of play. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Lucas-Ignacio Lugano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jan-Erik Bergqvist in the 23 minute of the game. Seppe Dobbeleir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 25th minute of the match. Seppe Dobbeleir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 27th minute. After 31 minutes Asarum's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nildo Dantas who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Blumenau Esporte Clube's Nildo Dantas to fire away a dangerous shot which Seppe Dobbeleir despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bin Shevchenko might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seppe Dobbeleir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a defensive mix-up in Asarum's zone, Bin Shevchenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seppe Dobbeleir came out of the goal and Bin Shevchenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edvaldo de Toledo's late challenge caught a Asarum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edvaldo de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. Edvaldo de Toledo got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
