But to his dismay, Basílio Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luiz Fábio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Ghițescu in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Mastur Bandov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas-Ignacio Lugano. In the 24th minute, Bin Shevchenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Bin Shevchenko made a precise shot to the right of Mastur Bandov. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Daniel Ghițescu struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Luiz Fábio Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacuitiba - FSCMZ. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Ghițescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
