An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi Vorenkamp in the 8th minute of play forced Aro FC's goalkeeper Harry Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Qin Jian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Olenberg hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Harold Rodenboog scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harry Higuita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anthony Hillen came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Harry Higuita could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harold Rodenboog in the 19th minute of play forced Aro FC's goalkeeper Harry Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Aro FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Lino Chago hit a great ball. Inácio Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Harry Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harold Rodenboog in the 36th minute of the match. Harold Rodenboog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Higuita having to interfere. Harry Higuita came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by De Kasteelheren's Inácio Amaral. But to his dismay, Inácio Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 47 minutes into the game, Harold Rodenboog recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harry Higuita. Harold Rodenboog showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sune Svartengren was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, De Kasteelheren's Harold Rodenboog made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harry Higuita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ferdi Vorenkamp struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Harry Higuita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Kasteelheren. The audience was convinced that Harold Rodenboog's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harry Higuita was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Ferdi Vorenkamp scored 7-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harry Higuita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Aro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Amaral came free, but Harry Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harold Rodenboog in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Harold Rodenboog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's Inácio Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harry Higuita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Inácio Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Amaral in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, De Kasteelheren's Inácio Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harry Higuita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inácio Amaral in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harry Higuita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 99 minutes into the game, De Kasteelheren's Ferdi Vorenkamp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harry Higuita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-1. There was no doubt that De Kasteelheren were the better team. De Kasteelheren's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
