Esbjörn Apelquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Amaral in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Inácio Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Apelquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Inácio Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Esbjörn Apelquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. BELAJ BOYS's Esbjörn Apelquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdi Vorenkamp in the 18th minute of play. Banan Banana succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Esbjörn Apelquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Amaral's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Gurgul in the 30th minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Fokke Meijeringh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Fokke Meijeringh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rudolf Lundgren. Esbjörn Apelquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harold Rodenboog, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, BELAJ BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Anatoliy Gvozdevych came free, but Esbjörn Apelquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fokke Meijeringh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Gurgul in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

De Kasteelheren's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hayden Hoebe in the 54th minute. BELAJ BOYS made a substitution. Zaaki Zakas replaced Banan Banana. Inácio Amaral received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Esbjörn Apelquist came out and tried to block the shot, but Inácio Amaral slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 62nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Gurgul in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fokke Meijeringh saved De Kasteelheren from getting behind. Esbjörn Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anatoliy Gvozdevych in the 68th minute of play. Esbjörn Apelquist was a little too slow when Harold Rodenboog got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 2-6. Fokke Meijeringh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Gurgul in the 77th minute of play. Harold Rodenboog scored 2-7 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esbjörn Apelquist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Gurgul in the 88th minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Fokke Meijeringh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esbjörn Apelquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Rodenboog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Inácio Amaral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Esbjörn Apelquist, 2-8. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. De Kasteelheren walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
