The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Régis Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Sagan in the 23rd minute of the match. If Bogdan Poreda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lech Porajewski hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Lech Latkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 40th minute Lech Porajewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Pankracy Budzynski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legia Warszawa 【L】's Dariusz Mierzwa was substituted for Lech Trac. Pankracy Budzynski kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Luizão Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Legia Warszawa 【L】 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
