Bertil Brodin kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Remus Pinches sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ruperto Frances threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Remus Pinches this time. After some careless play in the Locura Académica defense, Carmelo Marz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davide Franco. The Locura Académica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davide Franco should have stopped the shot. Davide Franco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmelo Marz's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Santikurtz came free, but Davide Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmelo Marz in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davide Franco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th match minute, CRIMINAL MAMBO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Hunfredo to maneuver through the defense. Davide Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Bo in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Carmelo Marz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Bob Bo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. A collision led to CRIMINAL MAMBO getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Paulinho Passos hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Davide Franco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Abadia, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute.
