In the 35th minute, Jakob Alberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dobromir Keep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu Ceulemans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Purple Shadows's Relja Jurišić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Relja Jurišić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Gorom Kanø's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Macedo was relentless in the 67th minute of the game.
