The supporters of FC Truseni booed when North Port UTD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dean Arrascaeta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, FC Truseni's goalkeeper Anibal Aritza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Alwege. In the 8th minute Dorel Cretu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geofredo Fox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Hakkı Deniz Danış managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Port UTD's supporters rose to their feet, but Hakkı Deniz Danış was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Aritza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geofredo Fox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Dadu in the 13th minute of the match. Anibal Aritza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakkı Deniz Danış in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute Dorel Cretu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geofredo Fox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Aritza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Enoaia, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 21 minutes, Nicolae Papuc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Truseni and the North Port UTD players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Cornea in the 32nd minute of play forced North Port UTD's goalkeeper Geofredo Fox to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodor Cornea was the one to do the kick off. Anibal Aritza came out of the goal in the 50th minute to try and stop a shot by North Port UTD's Dumitru Enoaia. But to his dismay, Dumitru Enoaia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 52nd match minute, FC Truseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Cornea to maneuver through the defense. Hakkı Deniz Danış recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geofredo Fox showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonid Nazaria, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Hakkı Deniz Danış received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Anibal Aritza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Truseni's Radu Briceag was substituted for Tudor Buga. If Teodor Cornea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Truseni's goalkeeper Anibal Aritza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Lucas Alwege had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anibal Aritza. FC Truseni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Alwege was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Dorel Cretu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geofredo Fox having to interfere. North Port UTD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
