Jaime Tabor started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goalkeeper Saul Suarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Tabor. A hard shot 7 in the game by Jaime Tabor from a close distance when the talented Saul Suarez managed to make a qualified save. Quitilipi's players were relieved. Jaime Tabors short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Saul Suarez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Bazkoare, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Cayetano Bazkoare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Tabors short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Saul Suarez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jaime Tabor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Suarez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Quitilipi getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Arí Lucas hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Jaime Tabor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saul Suarez was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Quitilipi's Saul Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Tabor in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's Farid Verrecchia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saul Suarez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Saul Suarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Tabor in the 30th minute of play. Lev Yashin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute Farid Verrecchia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Suarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Quitilipi's Ignacio Sanchez got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Le Stade Briochin UC's Dimitri Nedellec was substituted for Nolan Roux. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Jaime Tabor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Le Stade Briochin UC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Tabor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Suarez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaime Tabor had several of the Quitilipi's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Saul Suarez as he didn't even see the shot coming. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cayetano Bazkoare to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Lartaun came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Marcelo Laurentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saul Suarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitri Nedellec in the 64th minute of the match. With a little luck, Le Stade Briochin UC's Lev Yashin got control of the ball when Cayetano Bazkoare tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Farid Verrecchia came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Le Stade Briochin UC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Farid Verrecchia couldn't finish the play. Allan Parsons hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Cayetano Bazkoare's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lev Yashin firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Le Stade Briochin UC's Dimitri Nedellec in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 86th match minute, Le Stade Briochin UC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Tabor to maneuver through the defense. When Le Stade Briochin UC's Jaime Tabor in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Saul Suarez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
