If Seth Luke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 minutes, Daniel Dominguez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varennes and the Le Stade Briochin UC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Varennes getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Daniel Dominguez hit a great ball. Gilberto Boone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nolan Roux in the 28th minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Varennes got a freekick which was hit by Théophile Berger. Le Stade Briochin UC's Farid Verrecchia got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurice Odonnell got free with Lev Yashin in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Tabor came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nolan Roux kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Le Stade Briochin UC's Dimitri Nedellec was substituted for Nolan Roux. Christopher Palumbo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Varennes's Hong Mosher was substituted for Ward Houde. Seth Luke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lev Yashin having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Le Stade Briochin UC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
