An unexpectedly hard shot by Radek Jílek in the 11th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucumán's goalkeeper Godofredo Maule to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Jiří Skrbek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Froghino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 18th match minute, San Martin de Tucumán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Celino to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Vojtěch Holásek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Maule saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 65 minutes, Leszek Henryk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Martin de Tucumán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leszek Henryk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Froghino's Jaromír Hubáček was substituted for Vítor Raposo. 69 minutes into the game, Jiří Skrbek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Froghino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Martin de Tucumán the free kick. Jiří Skrbek kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 74th minute David Kunovský shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Maule saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, San Martin de Tucumán's Godofredo Maule got control of the ball when Jiří Skrbek tried to sneak it across the goal line.
