After 93 played minutes, São Paulo F.C.'s Yaya Sow shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabio Betadur came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in São Paulo F.C. reached it. Tiago Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Leocadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. São Paulo F.C. had won after a very even match.
