The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Salvador Hats could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Godofredo Maule however easily saved by the left post. Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niklas Ekeberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Fortín de Floresta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicasio Jaizki was slow to take the kick. During this time San Martin de Tucumán's players had a chance to rest. San Martin de Tucumán's Jonas Loco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Santos Orlan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. San Martin de Tucumán's Godofredo Maule proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save San Martin de Tucumán from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salvador Hats got free with Godofredo Maule in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leszek Henryk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the El Fortín de Floresta defense, Leszek Henryk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santos Orlan. The El Fortín de Floresta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santos Orlan should have stopped the shot. 25 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Henryk came free, but Santos Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Salvador Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Fortín de Floresta's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Hats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godofredo Maule breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in San Martin de Tucumán's zone, Salvador Hats stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godofredo Maule came out of the goal and Salvador Hats tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, San Martin de Tucumán's Godofredo Maule got control of the ball when Salvador Hats tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Salvador Hats could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Godofredo Maule however easily saved by the left post. Salvador Hats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Godofredo Maule showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Hats, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Stanislao in the 45th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucumán's goalkeeper Godofredo Maule to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leszek Henryk made a kick off. Salvador Hats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's Salvador Hats sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godofredo Maule narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Godofredo Maule showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Hats in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucumán's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Hats came free, but Godofredo Maule reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Salvador Hats got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Alvino Tinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santos Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Henryk in the 69th minute of the match. Godofredo Maule came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by El Fortín de Floresta's Cipriano Aguilera. But to his dismay, Cipriano Aguilera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Niklas Ekeberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Santos Orlan made a huge save. Godofredo Maule made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Aguilera in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Cipriano Aguilera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Maule. San Martin de Tucumán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cipriano Aguilera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 92 minutes into the game, Jonas Loco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Martin de Tucumán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Fortín de Floresta the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of San Martin de Tucumán:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Fortín de Floresta:s goal. Lauras Pukelevičius scored 3-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godofredo Maule, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Cipriano Aguilera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Maule. San Martin de Tucumán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cipriano Aguilera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, El Fortín de Floresta could leave the field as winners, despite San Martin de Tucumán having more of the ball for most of the match.
