When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Vivaldo Carmona sped through Froghino's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Radislav Hošťálek. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiří Skrbek in the 23rd minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Real Cruzeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Salgado to maneuver through the defense. David Kunovský could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Rubinho de Amaral made a huge save. Froghino's Radislav Hošťálek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson de Lima in the 44th minute of play. With 46 minutes on the clock, Petr Šlesinger commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Radislav Hošťálek had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Baltazar Zonta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 48 minutes of play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Baltazar Zonta made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Radislav Hošťálek was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jiří Skrbek to make the kick off. Giuseppe de Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giuseppe de Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 73 minutes into the game, Vivaldo Carmona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Radislav Hošťálek. Vivaldo Carmona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Froghino made a substitution. Miroslav Valchář replaced Lot Hough. Radislav Hošťálek was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Vivaldo Carmona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vivaldo Carmona really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Froghino's goalkeeper Radislav Hošťálek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Baltazar Zonta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radislav Hošťálek was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Cruzeiro FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
