The audience thought a goal was coming when Radek Jílek got free with Godofredo Maule in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute of the match Froghino got a corner. San Martin de Tucumán's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Kunovský in the 20th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucumán's goalkeeper Godofredo Maule to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Froghino's David Kunovský ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Godofredo Maule. Godofredo Maule yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucumán's goal looked a bit too open when Jiří Skrbek came free, but Godofredo Maule reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leszek Henryk was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Froghino's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicasio Jaizki was slow to take the kick. During this time San Martin de Tucumán's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on San Martin de Tucumán's corner Nicasio Jaizki fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Radislav Hošťálek quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in San Martin de Tucumán's zone, Vítor Raposo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godofredo Maule came out of the goal and Vítor Raposo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Froghino were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after San Martin de Tucumán's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dalmu Coello took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dalmu Coello got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Godofredo Maule quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Shao Wei Wei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Radislav Hošťálek made a huge save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvise Romagnoli couldn't finish the play. Godofredo Maule took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiří Skrbek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shao Wei Weis short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Radislav Hošťálek to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jiří Skrbek in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Maule saved San Martin de Tucumán from getting behind. The attack was good, but when Jiří Skrbek in the 89th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in Froghino's zone, Leszek Henryk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radislav Hošťálek came out of the goal and Leszek Henryk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicasio Jaizki hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
