The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Bock got free with Stefan Neubrandt in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Rogelio Lynch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Neubrandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo de Azevedo in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Urane. A collision led to Internazionale-RS getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Moisés Cordeiro hit a great ball. Stefan Neubrandt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo de Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. The Buenaventura FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Buenaventura FC's Jairo de Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Carlos Eduardo Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Lynch, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Carlos Eduardo Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Eduardo Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Lynch in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute of the match Internazionale-RS got a corner. Buenaventura FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dany-Adams De Scheper ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Pedro Augusto Alves almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Buenaventura FC's Carlos Eduardo Ramos did a great save. 30 minutes into the game, André-Pierre Gignac recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stefan Neubrandt. André-Pierre Gignac showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Internazionale-RS's attentive Carlos Alberto Trigo managed to snatch the ball when Miguel Urane made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. Carlos Eduardo Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Alves came free, but Carlos Eduardo Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogelio Lynch made a kick off. Pedro Augusto Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Carlos Eduardo Ramos made a huge save. Pedro Augusto Alves came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carlos Eduardo Ramos could save by the left post. In the 55th minute, Miguel Urane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Pedro Augusto Alves could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Carlos Eduardo Ramos however easily saved by the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Jorge-Luis Pereira put in a rough tackle. In the 62nd match minute, Internazionale-RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Internazionale-RS's Stefan Neubrandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Bock in the 63rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés Cordeiro during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Moisés Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Bilgehan Ülgener. Stefan Neubrandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André-Pierre Gignac in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Pedro Augusto Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buenaventura FC's Carlos Eduardo Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Eduardo Ramos came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedro Augusto Alves slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 87th minute. Buenaventura FC's Carlos Eduardo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Borges in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Buenaventura FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Internazionale-RS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
