In the 41st minute, Manole Cristoiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pepe Toxeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Renato Tapia might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artzai Tarin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renato Tapia ran back to his position shaking his head. Artzai Tarin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Tapia, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
