In the 2nd minute Zalán Kovács shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oso Amezaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Szajk LC's Zalán Kovács in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. GUAYACO's goalie prevented a goal. Oso Amezaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zalán Kovács in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Szajk LC were awarded a corner. Lajos Józsa went to the cornerflag to take it. Rodrigo Caborredondo made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Agustin Pillado. In the 19th minute of the match Szajk LC got a corner. C.A. GUAYACO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lajos Józsa ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Árpád Konkoly in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oso Amezaga saved C.A. GUAYACO from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor Bósa in the 24th minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustin Pillado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but András Horváth made a huge save. Oso Amezaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zalán Kovács, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zalán Kovács in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Csongor Csorba in the 31st minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Rodrigo Caborredondo in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Szajk LC's Roland Szily. Zalán Kovács fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oso Amezaga having to interfere. András Horváth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caicedo Berrondo in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Csongor Csorba in the 39th minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Szajk LC's Lajos Józsa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oso Amezaga in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Szajk LC's Csongor Csorba got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 48 minutes Szajk LC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Betão Ramos who took care of the corner kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zalán Kovács was the one to do the kick off. Zalán Kovács blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oso Amezaga having to make a save. Csongor Csorba made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 58thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Oso Amezaga would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 59th minute, Zénó Polgár hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zénó Polgár kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match, Zalán Kovács tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oso Amezaga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when C.A. GUAYACO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Obarenes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zalán Kovács received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Oso Amezaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C.A. GUAYACO's Mendoza Joseph was substituted for Caicedo Berrondo. C.A. GUAYACO's Gutierrez Castorena was substituted for Jorge Freitas. When Szajk LC's Zalán Kovács in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. András Horváth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mendoza Joseph in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of C.A. GUAYACO booed when Szajk LC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Bósa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Oso Amezaga successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. C.A. GUAYACO's Mendoza Joseph got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Levente Makkai's late challenge caught a C.A. GUAYACO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Levente Makkai helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Levente Makkai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
