With a little luck, DESTROY's Silverio Gonsalve got control of the ball when Sérgio Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erwin Pellicer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. GUAYACO's zone, Zhuang Hai Xu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erwin Pellicer came out of the goal and Zhuang Hai Xu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute of the match Radomir Kornecki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silverio Gonsalve showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The DESTROY fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when DESTROY's Armando Maradona looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sérgio Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th match minute, DESTROY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Orlandus to maneuver through the defense. Silverio Gonsalve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Maradona might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erwin Pellicer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Maradona ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Caicedo Berrondo got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 37th minute, Zhuang Hai Xu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute Armando Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Pellicer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faustino Jakes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Erwin Pellicer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhuang Hai Xu in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwin Pellicer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half DESTROY were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caicedo Berrondo was the one to do the kick off. After 63 played minutes DESTROY got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Servando. Gomez Berrahondo charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gomez Berrahondo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Gomez Berrahondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. DESTROY's Brennan Johnson was substituted for Placido Orlandus. In the 79th minute, Zhuang Hai Xu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C.A. GUAYACO's Juan-Pablo Dorrial was substituted for Radomir Kornecki. In the 82nd minute, Zhuang Hai Xu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erwin Pellicer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Armando Maradona kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erwin Pellicer. That made the score 0-3 in the 85 minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, DESTROY's Armando Maradona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erwin Pellicer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hieronim Faron in the 93rd minute of play forced DESTROY's goalkeeper Silverio Gonsalve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DESTROY walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
