In the 5th minute Valdemar de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Larsfelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Papunhas EC from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Larsfelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Valdemar de Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre got control of the ball when Evander Zayko tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Valdemar de Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Larsfelt. Freedom 2024's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdemar de Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre got control of the ball when Evander Zayko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Larsfelt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar de Moraes in the 35th minute of the match. Papunhas EC's Valdemar de Moraes managed to work through Freedom 2024's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Valdemar de Moraes dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Freedom 2024's Mircea Stanciu in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Papunhas EC's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Larsfelt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Peres in the 38th minute of the match. Vítor Sampaio charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Sampaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute of the match Torbjörn Malm shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Nazario Serre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Telmo Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Larsfelt having to make a save. After the first half Papunhas EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Mircea Stanciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tulio Ramirez kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Mircea Stanciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Nazario Serre having to interfere. Evander Zayko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Papunhas EC booed when Freedom 2024 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Stanciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Freedom 2024 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Torbjörn Malm hit a great ball. Ismael Nazario Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Stanciu in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Evander Zayko notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre. Ismael Nazario Serre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evander Zayko in the 74th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Larsfelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar de Moraes in the 79th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Baiano got free with Jonathan Larsfelt in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vítor Sampaio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 95 minutes into the match. Ismael Nazario Serre went to the wrong direction when Mircea Stanciu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Papunhas EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
