Gia Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 3rd minute of play. Lanny Gilmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gia Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of BSC Thunder Arvutitark booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Warren Ruiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaagup Lasn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aaron Smallwood read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lanny Gilmore in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gia Buffon saved BSC Thunder Arvutitark from getting behind. Gia Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lanny Gilmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Santos FC booed when BSC Thunder Arvutitark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mati Ridal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, BSC Thunder Arvutitark's goal looked a bit too open when Lanny Gilmore came free, but Gia Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gia Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 24th minute of the match. If Lanny Gilmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BSC Thunder Arvutitark's goalie prevented a goal. If Lanny Gilmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 31st minute of play forced BSC Thunder Arvutitark's goalkeeper Gia Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Augustin Potopea in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Santos FC's Terence Nicholas. Warren Ruiz was slow to take the kick. During this time Santos FC's players had a chance to rest. Santos FC's Warren Ruiz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gia Buffon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The corner led Santos FC's Warren Ruiz to fire away a dangerous shot which Gia Buffon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Warren Ruiz got in the 47th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Gia Buffon. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Vítor Salles made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Lanny Gilmore cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gia Buffon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. BSC Thunder Arvutitark's Gia Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyron Velasquez in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Tyron Velasquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 58th minute Lanny Gilmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gia Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, BSC Thunder Arvutitark's goal looked a bit too open when Tyron Velasquez came free, but Gia Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by BSC Thunder Arvutitark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gia Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lanny Gilmore's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while BSC Thunder Arvutitark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
