Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dieguinho Amaral got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Paulopolis's zone, Narciso Sindo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Rito came out of the goal and Narciso Sindo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Cidro during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafael Cidro hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruy Carneiro got free with Virgilio Pacifico in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute Paulopolis were awarded a corner. Cícero Reis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Paulopolis's Cícero Reis to fire away a dangerous shot which Virgilio Pacifico despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Luís Paulo Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Paulo Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Pacifico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dieguinho Amaral got free with Virgilio Pacifico in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 25 played minutes Patricio Rey Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Blanco. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Virgilio Pacifico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Patricio Rey Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Dieguinho Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Pacifico having to interfere. Virgilio Pacifico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dieguinho Amaral in the 30th minute. Virgilio Pacifico made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Dieguinho Amaral sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Narciso Sindo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aldo Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

51 minutes into the match, Dieguinho Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Pacifico. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dieguinho Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 61st match minute, Patricio Rey Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Cidro to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Dieguinho Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Pacifico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgilio Pacifico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Dieguinho Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Pacifico was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Narciso Sindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Pacifico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Virgilio Pacifico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Amaral in the 74th minute of play. Cayetano Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Sindo in the 77th minute of the match. Dieguinho Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgilio Pacifico having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Patricio Rey Futbol Club's zone, Dieguinho Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Pacifico came out of the goal and Dieguinho Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Patricio Rey Futbol Club defense, Dieguinho Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Pacifico. The Patricio Rey Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Pacifico should have stopped the shot. When Narciso Sindo fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patricio Rey Futbol Club's protests and gave Narciso Sindo a yellow card for diving instead. Paulopolis's Guilherme Freire was substituted for Cícero Reis. Paulopolis's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
