Håkan Šuker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simon Ribeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Gong Ying Zheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Martxot in the 17th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Tommy Gun got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gong Ying Zheng quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 24th minute of the match Chanchos got a corner. VC zoetwater's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tommy Gun ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Emil Milushev heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Chanchos's Concetto Mascitti in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VC zoetwater's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Martxot in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gong Ying Zheng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gong Ying Zheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Martxot in the 29th minute of play. VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Martxot in the 29th minute of play. Simon Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by VC zoetwater's Håkan Šuker. But to his dismay, Håkan Šuker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gong Ying Zheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Gun, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Gong Ying Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Gun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

53 minutes into the match, Håkan Šuker notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Chanchos's Simon Ribeiro. Simon Ribeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Chanchos's Bronius Daukintis got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute Håkan Šuker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Johnny Boumans had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 61 minutes into the game, Rafael Martxot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chanchos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VC zoetwater the free kick. VC zoetwater made a substitution. Armand De Hoef replaced Johnny Boumans. Rafael Martxot kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Chanchos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Favila to maneuver through the defense. Chanchos's Cipriano Garoa was substituted for Jonatan Burutzagi. After 72 played minutes VC zoetwater got a freekick which was hit by Armand De Hoef. A collision led to VC zoetwater getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. İbrahim Efe Akarsu hit a great ball. Tommy Gun struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Gong Ying Zheng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chanchos. If Rafael Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chanchos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Armand De Hoef was slow to take the kick. During this time VC zoetwater's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Armand De Hoef almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chanchos's Simon Ribeiro did a great save. Håkan Šuker scored 3-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simon Ribeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Håkan Šuker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Ribeiro having to make a save. Simon Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Šuker, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Bronius Daukintis made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Concetto Mascitti. Simon Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Šuker's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Gong Ying Zheng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Concetto Mascitti in the 92nd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VC zoetwater fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chanchos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
