The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ulu Özkutsal's late challenge caught a ÜSTEĞMEN FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulu Özkutsal helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ÜSTEĞMEN FK booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulu Özkutsal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Babür Hamurcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Newells Old Boys's Semail Kılıçer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 黄光俊 in the 9th minute of play. İzzet Akşit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Temel Ulubaş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when 黄光俊 came free, but Semail Kılıçer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Ulu Özkutsal. Semail Kılıçer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mutlu Kanat in the 16th minute of the match. Semail Kılıçer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mutlu Kanat in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Serter Gökyüzü hit a great ball. Semail Kılıçer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 黄光俊 in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Anton Månsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Semail Kılıçer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 26th match minute, ÜSTEĞMEN FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Rıfat Erşahin to maneuver through the defense. After 29 minutes, Kenny N'Diaye made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. ÜSTEĞMEN FK's İzzet Akşit tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Månsson in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Semail Kılıçer saved Newells Old Boys from getting behind. A collision led to ÜSTEĞMEN FK getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ahmet Rıfat Erşahin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mutlu Kanat in the 39th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Semail Kılıçer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, 黄光俊 managed to get in a good position for a shot. ÜSTEĞMEN FK's supporters rose to their feet, but 黄光俊 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Semail Kılıçer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th match minute, Newells Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulu Özkutsal to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kenny N'Diaye was the one to do the kick off. İzzet Akşit didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenny N'Diaye went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 60 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Başaran Tuncay. The supporters of ÜSTEĞMEN FK booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aykut Canser didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Mutlu Kanat sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Newells Old Boys's Semail Kılıçer didn't even have to move. Temel Ulubaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, 黄光俊 made a precise shot to the right of Semail Kılıçer. Newells Old Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. ÜSTEĞMEN FK's Özbek Alişan was substituted for Anton Månsson. 76 minutes into the game, Horaţiu Amânaloae recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Semail Kılıçer. Horaţiu Amânaloae showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Kenny N'Diaye hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Amânaloae came free, but Semail Kılıçer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Semail Kılıçer throw himself and got hold of the ball when Horaţiu Amânaloae in the 79thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 79 minutes in the game, Horaţiu Amânaloae dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Semail Kılıçer came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by ÜSTEĞMEN FK's Horaţiu Amânaloae. But to his dismay, Horaţiu Amânaloae quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Semail Kılıçer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Amânaloae in the 87th minute of the match. Özbek Alişan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Semail Kılıçer made a huge save. After 95 played minutes ÜSTEĞMEN FK got a freekick which was hit by Brynn Turnbull. In the 96th minute of the match Temel Ulubaş sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but İzzet Akşit skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ÜSTEĞMEN FK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
