Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zbigniew Paraszczuk to make the kick off. With a little luck, VN FC Spartak-Varna's Hans Curtis got control of the ball when Bartosz Wicherek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacindo Baezabal was slow to take the kick. During this time Glorioso Deportivo Cali's players had a chance to rest. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Jacindo Baezabal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hans Curtis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
