When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yosif Bakrachev made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yosif Bakrachev in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivar Bjurström saved Glorioso Deportivo Cali from getting behind. Red Bulls's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Walery Chojnacki in the 54th minute. Despite this Pankracy Pyrtek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 96 minutes, Rigoberto Bastiaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Bastiaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Red Bulls's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
