Yuri Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Cabral in the 5th minute of the match. VN FC Spartak-Varna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yancho Motev in the 9th minute. After some careless play in the Atlético Minuano defense, Peter Boklund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yuri Loureiro. The Atlético Minuano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yuri Loureiro should have stopped the shot. Yuri Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigiusz Kasiewski in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, VN FC Spartak-Varna's Peter Boklund made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yuri Loureiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hans Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Ademar Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuri Loureiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Alfredinho Aparecido received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hans Curtis came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredinho Aparecido slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 28th minute. Hans Curtis was a little too slow when Nicolas Romero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-4. Benjamin Lundgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Atlético Minuano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VN FC Spartak-Varna were winning 2-4.

The wind increased when Nicolas Romero made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Nicolas Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Curtis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Hans Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Romero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hans Curtis. VN FC Spartak-Varna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hílton Coelho hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Nicolas Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Curtis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes, Dominik Piglowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Minuano and the VN FC Spartak-Varna players grew even worse after the yellow card.
