In the 25th minute, Roland Laureys reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Santiago Cañizares. The goal made the score 1-0. Arkadiusz Smolarek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Agulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arkadiusz Smolarek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Agulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Joga Leve took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arkadiusz Smolarek. Katowice i Kluczbork's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Patrik Konsel had several of the Katowice i Kluczbork's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 51 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Arkadiusz Smolarek as he didn't even see the shot coming. The Nueva Chicago fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Cañizares should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Katowice i Kluczbork's Ryszard Murdza got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Arlo Abril sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Katowice i Kluczbork's Arkadiusz Smolarek didn't even have to move. In the 89th match minute, Katowice i Kluczbork was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryszard Murdza to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Arlo Abril in the 90th minute really tested Arkadiusz Smolarek's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Nueva Chicago booed when Katowice i Kluczbork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislaw Wawrukiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nueva Chicago were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Katowice i Kluczbork to leave the ground with a draw.
