Grzegorz Siekierski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Demario, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Diguinho Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diguinho Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of DeportivoIndependienteMDP booed when GeRaÇãO-83 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diguinho Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 minutes of play, DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Esquipula Bouzon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grzegorz Siekierski was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes in the game, Esquipula Bouzon dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. GeRaÇãO-83's Grzegorz Siekierski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Lapurdi in the 17th minute of play. Anastasio Eguerdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Mineiro in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Gregorio Urbes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diguinho Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anastasio Eguerdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Duarte in the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fabiano Duarte in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anastasio Eguerdi saved DeportivoIndependienteMDP from getting behind. In the 29th minute of the match GeRaÇãO-83 got a corner. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Billy Backman ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Billy Backman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anastasio Eguerdi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diguinho Mineiro got free with Anastasio Eguerdi in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Diguinho Mineiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anastasio Eguerdi. That made the score 1-1 in the 33 minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Diguinho Mineiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Anastasio Eguerdi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute Diguinho Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Eguerdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The tension between the GeRaÇãO-83 and the DeportivoIndependienteMDP players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Salvador Perfecto came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the DeportivoIndependienteMDP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Perfecto couldn't finish the play.
Bernardino Abel's late challenge caught a GeRaÇãO-83's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardino Abel helped the player get up and apologised.
