Kryspin Oryniak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göran Bröms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kryspin Oryniak in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Petrigai Guau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Mosiniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Petrigai Guau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Mosiniak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Zenon Makomaski's late challenge caught a BRUGGE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zenon Makomaski helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mario gool's Zenon Makomaski got a free kick in the 21st minute. Mario gool's Leon Mosiniak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Avelar in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, one of BRUGGE FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Göran Bröms had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Zenon Makomaski's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 26th minute, Zenon Makomaski made a precise shot to the right of Göran Bröms. BRUGGE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 30th minute, Kryspin Oryniak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Göran Bröms was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. CJ Robben kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. BRUGGE FC's Göran Bröms proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save BRUGGE FC from getting a goal against them. Leon Mosiniak came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by BRUGGE FC's Rui Avelar. But to his dismay, Rui Avelar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Göran Bröms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kryspin Oryniak in the 51st minute of play. Leon Mosiniak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrigai Guau in the 55th minute. Göran Bröms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kryspin Oryniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Mario gool's Kryspin Oryniak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Göran Bröms made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 65 minutes into the match, Kryspin Oryniak notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of BRUGGE FC's Göran Bröms. Göran Bröms was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mario gool made a substitution. Edgar Jumancă replaced Franciszek Wykowski. 69 minutes into the match, BRUGGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mykyta Yaremenko came free, but Göran Bröms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BRUGGE FC's Florentino Cervera was substituted for 曲宇银. A collision led to BRUGGE FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Gilberto Thuram hit a great ball. Mario gool's Ulryk Biraga was substituted for Mykyta Yaremenko. Ulryk Biraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Göran Bröms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Petrigai Guau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Mosiniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the BRUGGE FC defense, Kryspin Oryniak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Göran Bröms. The BRUGGE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Göran Bröms should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute Kryspin Oryniak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Bröms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Mario gool could leave the field as winners, despite BRUGGE FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
