Olympique Fribourg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bianco Cherubini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Knechtli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bianco Cherubini in the 89th minute of play forced Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Patrick Knechtli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bianco Cherubini took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrick Knechtli. Patrick Knechtli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Olympique Fribourg's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
