The referee ignored Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's protests and gave Patrik Béres a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Béres to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's zone, Marcellus Walpert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Attila Mesterházy came out of the goal and Marcellus Walpert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute, Máté Elek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Christian Kilstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Kilstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 22 minutes of play, Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's Máté Elek made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrick Knechtli was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Christian Kilstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Knechtli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcellus Walpert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's Attila Mesterházy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's goalkeeper Attila Mesterházy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Stutz to maneuver through the defense. When Máté Elek fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell László Madaras to make the kick off. Medero Gadea kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Medero Gadea made a precise shot to the right of Attila Mesterházy. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raik Topuz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Olympique Fribourg had won after a very even match.
