In the 7th minute Trey Echols shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Iztal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trey Echols in the 12th minute of play. Guilherme Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Arotza, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Arnoldo Arotza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Veiga having to interfere. Guilherme Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Hotz in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Espirillo FC booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Hood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tyrone Terrell charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tyrone Terrell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Guilherme Veiga was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aaron Cutberto. In the 28th minute Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Elia in the 35th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Guilherme Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Espirillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Elia to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Gregorio Hotz made the kick off in the second half. Guilherme Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Cutberto in the 51st minute of play. Trey Echols might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Iztal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trey Echols ran back to his position shaking his head. When Gregorio Hotz came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Espirillo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Hotz couldn't finish the play. Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Larry Cermak replaced Xu Yuan Lin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trey Echols got free with Jorge Iztal in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Swanson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Hotz in the 62nd minute of play. Espirillo FC's Joaquim Fernandes was substituted for Aaron Cutberto. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Racing Miami Futbol Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rico Migachev was slow to take the kick. During this time Espirillo FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Espirillo FC's Rico Migachev to fire away a dangerous shot which Guilherme Veiga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Anton Swanson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Jorge Iztal made a huge save. Guilherme Veiga came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Espirillo FC's Cristo Elia. But to his dismay, Cristo Elia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 84th minute Arnoldo Arotza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal got control of the ball when Anton Swanson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th minute, Rodney Hagen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jorge Iztal. The goal made the score 1-1. Gregorio Hotz struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Guilherme Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espirillo FC. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
