Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Camus in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Zeigler came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arnulfo Camus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Zeigler got free with George Forsyth in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Romeo Zeigler could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which George Forsyth however easily saved by the left post. Guilherme Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ongile Gavilanes in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Bento Arberas got a free kick in the 27th minute. 43 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trey Echols. Racing Miami Futbol Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vance Tidwell in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Alexis Hoover was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Miami Futbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Municipal the free kick. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alexis Hoover hit a great ball.

Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Chance Adams replaced Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson. The wind increased when Arnulfo Camus made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Romeo Zeigler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ongile Gavilanes in the 56th minute of play. Arnulfo Camus made a great header on CD Municipal's corner, it was just that Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodney Hagen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Romeo Zeigler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Forsyth was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in CD Municipal's zone, Chance Adams stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Forsyth came out of the goal and Chance Adams tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Forsyth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodney Hagen in the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chance Adams in the 84th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Forsyth came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Miami Futbol Club's Rodney Hagen. But to his dismay, Rodney Hagen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as CD Municipal's Arnulfo Camus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guilherme Veiga. That made the score 1-1 after 88 minutes of play. In the 91st minute, CD Municipal's Ongile Gavilanes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 97th minute, Anton Swanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 98 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's Bento Arberas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of CD Municipal were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Racing Miami Futbol Club side.
