Fernandez Gøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tory Pryor in the 2nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pirmin Jäggi in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandez Gøl saved E.C. Água Santa from getting behind. When E.C. Água Santa's Fábio Coelho in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Wil 1900's goalie prevented a goal. Tory Pryor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandez Gøl having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tory Pryor in the 18th minute of play forced E.C. Água Santa's goalkeeper Fernandez Gøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Carlos lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 20th minute, one of E.C. Água Santa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for E.C. Água Santa. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for FC Wil 1900. Téo Rosa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fernandez Gøl. 1-1. 27 minutes into the game, FC Wil 1900's Pirmin Jäggi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernandez Gøl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Fernandez Gøl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Rosa in the 31st minute of the match. After 41 played minutes E.C. Água Santa got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Coelho. Philipp Santagapita hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Fernandez Gøl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pirmin Jäggi, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Coelho came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fábio Coelho was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tory Pryor got free with Fernandez Gøl in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Wil 1900's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
