The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlos Gustavo Caicedo kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. François-Xavier Dionnet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Parra, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Young in the 8th minute of play forced Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Parra in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute Nicanor Parra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but François-Xavier Dionnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Silvano Bide managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruquense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Bide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Soriano Espiñeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Navalito's Carlos Gustavo Caicedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that François-Xavier Dionnet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Navalito's Isidoro Young in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Navalito from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basilio Fernandez made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Young came free, but François-Xavier Dionnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Isidoro Young got free in front of the goal in the 52nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. François-Xavier Dionnet was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 55 played minutes Navalito got a freekick which was hit by Nazario Urtubia. Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Fernandez in the 57th minute of play. Isidoro Young could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but François-Xavier Dionnet made a huge save. In the 71stth minute of the game Basilio Fernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ruquense FC's Ladislao Lehen was substituted for Miroslaw Mielak. In the 73rd match minute, Ruquense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslaw Mielak to maneuver through the defense. Nazario Urtubia kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's Leopoldo Tonio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Nicanor Parra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute Isidoro Young shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but François-Xavier Dionnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Navalito's Carlos Gustavo Caicedo got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basilio Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. François-Xavier Dionnet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicanor Parra went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Navalito eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
