Tim Johnstone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Casemiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Tim Johnstone made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Gualterio Gilabert sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gualterio Gilabert in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Johnstone saved The Tigers from getting behind. When E.C. Água Santa's Gualterio Gilabert in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Tigers's goalie prevented a goal. Darius Hamer charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darius Hamer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes The Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Darius Hamer. Fernandez Gøl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owen Noble, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 20 minutes, Carlos Casemiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C. Água Santa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Casemiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernandez Gøl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Downes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Tigers's Carl Downes managed to work through E.C. Água Santa's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Carl Downes dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The corner led E.C. Água Santa's Carlos Casemiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Tim Johnstone despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 28th minute, Gualterio Gilabert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Gualterio Gilabert kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tim Johnstone. That made the score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. Gualterio Gilabert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Tim Johnstone made a huge save. The supporters of E.C. Água Santa booed when The Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Atherton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gualterio Gilabert came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the E.C. Água Santa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualterio Gilabert couldn't finish the play. Tim Johnstone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Gilabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carl Downes to strike the kick off in the second half. Fernandez Gøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Owen Noble in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute Vinnie Backhouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandez Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Tigers were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after E.C. Água Santa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mitch Furniss took the corner. The Tigers's Mitch Furniss was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fernandez Gøl in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Tigers made a substitution. Tris Hedges replaced Sid Francis. 57 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Gilabert came free, but Tim Johnstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualterio Gilabert scored 2-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Johnstone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Carlos Casemiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gualterio Gilabert scored 3-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Johnstone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Gilabert in the 71st minute of play forced The Tigers's goalkeeper Tim Johnstone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Gilabert might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tim Johnstone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualterio Gilabert ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Gilabert came free, but Tim Johnstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Carlos Casemiro made a precise shot to the right of Tim Johnstone. The Tigers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Antonio Carlos kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Gualterio Gilabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, E.C. Água Santa's goalkeeper Fernandez Gøl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Downes. A collision led to E.C. Água Santa getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Gualterio Gilabert hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Owen Noble took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Fernandez Gøl to make any attempt to save it. In the 91st minute, The Tigers's Carl Downes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. 95 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Gilabert came free, but Tim Johnstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the The Tigers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for E.C. Água Santa.
