In the 14thth minute of the game Mihai Gherase who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of BMB IMOVEIS SC booed when Octavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaueko Abechuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihai Gherase was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mihai Gherase might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sérgio de Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mihai Gherase ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Octavia's Alberto Abancens got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 37 minutes, Régis Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BMB IMOVEIS SC and the Octavia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Régis Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sérgio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihai Gherase in the 39th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Mihai Gherase cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Sérgio de Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Régis Marinho hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th match minute, Octavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Cristaldo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 47 minutes, Mihai Gherase managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Octavia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihai Gherase was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihai Gherase was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Octavia's Iordanis Anastasiadis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sérgio de Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Mihai Gherase took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio de Azevedo. Sérgio de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 60th minute, Mathias Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute Iordanis Anastasiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Vidal. Sérgio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Gherase in the 69th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihai Gherase in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio de Azevedo saved BMB IMOVEIS SC from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, BMB IMOVEIS SC's Donato Marques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oscar Frascuelo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th match minute, Octavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaueko Abechuco to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Mihai Gherase ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio de Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Gherase in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Iordanis Anastasiadis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihai Gherase in the 91st minute of play forced BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Mihai Gherase shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
