In the 9th match minute, Octavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nesor Abadie to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes, Iordanis Anastasiadis made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Santino Mora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iordanis Anastasiadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Iordanis Anastasiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santino Mora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes Club Deportivo Santiago got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Adames. Iordanis Anastasiadis scored 0-4 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santino Mora, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Club Deportivo Santiago booed when Octavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolado Abendano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Montiel to make the kick off. Mihai Gherase recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Iordanis Anastasiadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Octavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Iordanis Anastasiadis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santino Mora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evelio Terres scored 1-4 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Frascuelo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rolado Abendano kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Santino Mora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Gherase in the 65th minute of the match. Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Gherase in the 67th minute of play. Santino Mora made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iordanis Anastasiadis in the 70th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Evelio Terres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Santiago's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Octavia the free kick. 71 minutes into the game, Iordanis Anastasiadis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Santino Mora. Iordanis Anastasiadis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo Santiago from getting a goal against them. Santino Mora made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Iordanis Anastasiadis sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Montiel in the 79th minute of play forced Octavia's goalkeeper Oscar Frascuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santino Mora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Gherase in the 81st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Octavia's Nesor Abadie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santino Mora. That made the score 1-6 after 82 minutes of play. Santino Mora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihai Gherase, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Gherase in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute Mihai Gherase shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santino Mora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
